Right front suspension loose / crashing noise

Our 2004 Odyssey rides and drives fine. However, the right front suspension has receintly developed a loud noise over broken pavement. A local shop replaced the sway bar bushings and realigned the front end. The noise is still very present. The noise doesn't seem to effect ride or handling but is very loud and annoying. Please help.

Would recommend having the front struts and strut mounts looked at, over time the struts and strut mounts wear out, causing the front supension to develop noise whe going over even the slightest of road deformities. Hope this helps

Hi,
now a worn or damaged outboard CV joint would make a clicking noise while turning. when the vehicle pulls to one side during braking it could be a number of problems.
1. incorrect tire pressure
2. front end out of line
3. restricted brake lines or hoses
4. drum brake or caliper assembly are malfunctioning
5.loose suspension parts
6. loose calipers
7. excessive wear of brake shoe or pad material or disc/drum on one side

i myself own a 2006 hyundai and just did a complete all 4 wheel brake job including rotors.......saved a bundle, special tool for the back brakes for calipers...........also just bought a 2012 elantra.............love it.
good luck,
frank

My 2004 Odyssey at 1000 to 1500 rpm will growl and the tach will fluctuate quickly. If we raise the rpm at higher speeds it does not happen. Local dealer cannot resolve the issue...its driving us...

Try replacing TPS (Throttle Positioning Switch) These are basically a rheostat and after time they develop a wear/hot spot - usually right around highway cruising position. When they develop a hot spot you get hesitations and RPM fluctuations

Hi,
Probably the ride height sensor has failed or come unplugged, Crawl under the right side and check it is still connected, if so undo the arm connecting it to the lower suspension arm. Now get someone to start the car whilst you manually move the sensor arm up and down. If nothing happens to the ride height the sensor is gone,or the wiring is damaged or something, and will need to be replaced

Saab 93 - noisy when going over bumps on the road.

Have you tried driving over a bump whilst also applying the brakes? (Right foot on gas, left gently on brake - with no one behind you!) If the noise goes away, then it could be the brake pads that are not fitted correctly. Only posting this, as this just happened to mine...the mechanic took it over bumps and noise was there. Applied brakes whilst going over bump, noise went away. Replaced badly fitted rear pads (had been bodged by another garage) and the problem was solved.

If it's a loud bang then I had the same problem with mine after I took it in for some new front tyres. the mechanic said I needed a new steering rack...he was so wrong it makes me sick to think he gets payed for it.

had the camera handy so I put a quick video together for ya. Hope that's it.
