The belt has tension applied to it from an idler pulley arm. you need to release tension by using a socket and ratchet on the nut on the idler pulley. Release tesion and slide belt off . Make sure you have the diagram for serpentine belt. it is usualy under the hood. If not make a diagram yorself before removing belt.
Get the replacement belt, and then note the pulleys that have smooth finish, and note the pulleys that have the grooved finish.
Just 'thread' the serpentine belt, one pulley after another alternating between the smooth and grooved until the last remaining pulley is the tensioner pulley.
Use the breaker bar to allow the pulley to accept the belt, and you're done.
