1997 Honda Accord ABS makes a "grinding" noise when turned on

I have a 97 Honda Accord. Several times a week when the car is first started it was making a horrible grinding noise in the front of the car. I had a friend start the car so I could pinpiont the area where the noise was coming from. It appears to be from the ABS. Actually i really dont know but there is a bunch of metal tubing hooked from this "part" into the Master Brake Slave Cylinder. My Question is what would cause this to make a "grinding" noise? Is there a bad relay maybe that sounds like a bad bearing when it goes out?

Have you had the master cylinders replaced? Mine made this exact noise and they replaced the master cylinder.

I drive a '97 Honda Accord. Lately, my power locks have been making a loud, drawn out grinding sound when I lock them. What could be the cause of this?

The door lock actuator in the door that is making the sound is starting to fail. Replace the lock actuator for that door will help.

My 1997 Honda Accord makes a grinding noise when in motion. When I press on the brakes it stops, when I release the brakes it starts again. The grinding noise continues pretty consistantly when in motion,...

Sounds like a bad wheel hub. Or it could be just the brakes. Can you tell which corner it is coming from? Can you jack up that corner and spin the wheel? Wheel hub job about $400 brakes about $200 or less. Good luck

Humming noise under the hood

It could be the ABS. MY HONDA DOES THE SAME THING.
I took it to PepBoys yesterday and they could not connect to the
computer interface. They said I need to take it to a honda dealer
so they can connect and determine what is wrong with the
Automatic breaking system. The noise is the ABS motor
turning on and off.
