What controls the vehicle R/S functions, i.e windows and side door?

I have now power on the right side of the vehicle, the windows won't work, and the automatic side door won't open when the button is pushed. I have checked the fuse (25 amp tan fuse) and it appears to be fine. So I would like to know what triggers the functions for that side.

SOURCE: Only Drivers Power window works

well if the drivers side window controll works but the others don't it doesnt look like a fuse or a relay problem. My advice is to check and see if the wireing clips for the window is conected. You would have to take off the door panel wich is held on by 3 or 4 screws and a few plastic clips, check both sides if they are connected you may have a break in the wire somewere or your window regulator motor could have gone bad. If they aren't connected just push them together an they should work.

SOURCE: Power lock and dome light does not come on when door is opened.

I had the same problem with my 2005 dodge ram 3500 and found the wires were being pinched that run through the rubber boot on my right rear door. I had this fixed by dodge but there splice didn't last, so I took some 16ga wire and spliced it into the wire that operates the power door lock on that side and it fixed the problem. Dodge service shop did a sad job of splicing the wires back together by twisting the wires together and tape and wire broke.

SOURCE: 2005 Grand Caravan power door lock quit working.

The lock actuator is probably broken in that door. We got one of the internet for 80$ and replaced it outselves and it solved this problem. IOD fuse is very temporary fix as system is sensing problem and flipping to protect itself like the breaker switches in the house.

2000 le sabre, power windows, door locks, side mirrors, not working all of a sudden

All - driver - passenger - front an back ? Look for broken wires inside the rubber boot from the body to the door ,driver side !

Power Windows Operation
Power Windows
The vehicle is equipped with power windows controlled by the door modules. The DDM receives a window switch request, over the SBI serial data, from either the passenger door module wired to the window switch pressed or from the driver door switch assembly. The DDM checks the Class 2 serial data to see if the status information is correct (i.e. ignition switch position) to permit window operation.
If the status information to permit window operation is correct, the DDM sends the command to the door module controlling the window to move the window as requested.
Windows Power and Ground
The windows are powered by discreet power and ground circuits. These circuits are in the same dedicated connector as the window motor drive circuits.

PWR/WDO 30 amp circuit breaker located in the rear fuse box ,DRVMDL fuse 10amp located in the same rear fuse box . This power the driver door module (computer )

The vehicle is equipped with power door locks. Each lock actuator is powered and controlled by the door module mounted in the individual door. The driver door module (DDM) is the master control for the door lock system but the rear integration module (RIM) contains the program that determines when the lock functions are permitted.
The exterior key cylinders are wired to either the DDM or the passenger door module (PDM), depending on the location of the key cylinder. The interior lock switches are wired to the driver door switch assembly (DDSA) and the PDM. The DDSA and the PDM send the lock switch requests to the DDM over the simple bus interface (SBI) serial data circuit. The DDM then sends the lock requests to the RIM over the Class 2 serial data circuits.
The door lock operation modes are controlled by the rear integration module (RIM). The RIM examines the requested function from the DDM, or the remote function actuator (RFA), as well as the transmission shift selector position and the ignition switch position information available over the Class 2 serial data circuits. The RIM determines if a locking function is permitted, and commands the DDM to perform the function permitted. The DDM then sends commands to the rest of the door modules via the SBI to implement the selected locking function.
All programmable modes of lock system operation are stored in the RIM. The RIM checks the lock function program selected against the lock requests, the transmission selection and ignition key switch condition to determine if the requested function is permitted. If the requested function is permitted, the RIM then commands the DDM to perform the lock function over the Class 2 serial data circuits. The DDM commands the individual door modules to perform the lock function over the SBI serial data circuit.

GOOD luck your going to need it !

My 2002 Buick Rendevous would not start three times, then on the 4th time it started. Now the security and SES light is flashing. The windows won't roll down, radio is locked, door locks won't...

Given the amount of electronic's ( computers ) on your vehicle ,it could be a lot of thing's . Hooking up a factory or professional grade scan tool that can communicate with all the control modules on the vehicle should be the first step in the diagnostic problem . Checking for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes , communication between module errors etc.....
Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop that has the proper diagnostic equipment to check it out .
The power door lock system consists of the following components:
• Body control module (BCM)
• Driver door lock switch
• Front passenger door lock switch
• Door lock actuators in each of the doors
• Door lock system fuse into the BCM (BCM D 25A fuse)

BCM Functions
The body control module (BCM) is capable of accomplishing multiple body control functions. Components directly connected to the BCM are controlled by the BCM outputs. The BCM can control its outputs based on input information it obtains from sensors and switches that are directly connected to the BCM, or by receiving information from other vehicle systems connected to the class 2 serial data link. The BCM evaluates this information and controls certain body systems by commanding an output on or off.
The BCM is also capable of commanding other vehicle systems to control functions that are not directly wired to and/or controlled by the BCM. The BCM accomplishes this task by sending specific messages on the class 2 serial data link. The vehicle system capable of performing such function will respond to the BCM message.
The BCM controls/monitors the following functions:
• Audible warnings
• Indicators control
• Interior lighting
• Exterior lighting
• Power/automatic door locks
• Keyless entry
• Content theft deterrent
• Personalization
• Serial Power Modes
• Electrical Power Management

Hi

The door control module actually consists of the door's Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and the switches or buttons integrated into one assembly. There are two of them: the driver door module or DDM (as seen on the sample diagram below) and the passenger door module or PDM, which is on the right front door. These modules are programmable.
They are also called driver door switch (DDS) and passenger door switch (PDS), so perhaps you can rephrase your search.

2002 power window dodge caravan pass side window wont go up or down. works w/ the main dr side control. where would the fuse be for this component? any other thoughts to fix this cheaply

The only problem with this vehicle is that it needs a new window switch on the passenger side door.If the main switch on the drivers door works and the one on the door that the window won't go up on won't work it replace the switch on that door they all work on the same fuse.

1999 cadillac seville sts driver side master control pannel dead

The same circuit breaker feeds the driver door as well as the passengers doors . The wires inside the rubber boot from the body to the door are probably broke ,power or ground wire .Or the door module is bad . Are your familiar with electronic control modules ? The door functions ,windows , lock's , memory etc... are controlled by DDM - driver door module .
Door Control System Operation
This vehicle has five modules capable of performing door system control functions. Vehicle door system components (windows, locks, mirrors, etc.) are controlled directly by these modules. There is a door module located inside of each vehicle door:
• Driver Door Module
• Passenger Door Module
• LH Rear Door Module (LRDM)
• RH Rear Door Module (RRDM)
• LH Front Power Window Switch
Simple Bus Interface (SBI)
Each Door Module communicates with the other Door Modules on the SBI. The driver door module is the only Door Module that is capable of communicating over the Class 2 Data Line as well as the SBI.
Driver Door Module
The driver door module directly controls the LH Front door lock actuator, power window motor and the outside rear view mirror. The driver door module sends and receives messages received from the LH Front Power Window Switch to the passenger door module, LRDM and RRDM modules over the Simple Bus Interface (SBI) line. Also, the driver door module sends and receives message from other vehicle system modules via the Class 2 Data Line.
Pulling the door panel off an checking B+ voltage and ground for the module would be good for you to do , since you probably don't have a $6,000 factory Tech 2 scan tool to see if the DDM is communicating .
The driver door module has two main power feeds (high and low current), and two main grounds. The low power feed (battery 1) is used to provide power for the driver door module's logic and internal driver operation. The high power feed (battery 2) is used to provide power for systems that draw higher amounts of current (motors, lights, etc.). Operating current at the driver door module's battery should not exceed 3.0 amperes at battery 1, and 7.5 amperes (for 2 seconds) at battery 2 while the driver door module is awake, and 2.5 milliamps when the driver door module is asleep. For most driver door module functions, the driver door module will operate properly with a system voltage of 9.0-16.0 volts. If system voltages exceed 16.0 volts the driver door module will provide protection by disabling certain functions that may damage due to higher than normal system voltages.

What kind of manual do you have ? The info above is from a factory repair manual .
The fuse's ,circuit breaker for the door module are located in the rear fuse box , not under hood . PWR WDO circuit breaker 30 amp. , DRVMDL fuse 10 amp. The rear fuse box is located under the back seat . Watch this video ,different type vehicle but probably the same problem .
