i believe it has a vehicle speed sensor in the rear diff that is probably your problem as the sensor you replaced in the transmission was probably the output shaft speed sensor
if its look the same then it will work ,dont worry about gear ratios and all the technical stuff so long as the electronic stuff lines up away you go and it dont fit then make it fit
Change the transmission fluid ant if that doesn't work then the transmission needs rebuilt or replaced. If you get on craigslist someone might be selling a transmission for cheap or check the salvage yards.
The vehicle speed sensor is not working, it is located in the transmission tailshaft. The computer uses this speed info to shift the transmission, and tell when the rear wheels are locked up so the ABS will function.
