My chevy z71 96 running lights work, but not right brake/blinker

My 1996 chevy silverado z71 has power to running lights
, but not to the right brake or blinker or emergency signal. I recently changed all the bulbs but it still would not work. My right reverse light also works. I checked the connection behind the plug and i had power to the blue wire only when the running lights were on, not while the brake or blinker were being used.

I ended up cleaning the plug, and it worked after wiggling the bulb a bit while connected.

I am having the same problem on my 95 z71 and mine would work for a little while and then go out and then start working again later but now it is completly out.

I have power at the left light but not the right. I think the problem is the wiring harness. Where can I get a new wire harness for the right side? Can someone send me a link to one please :)

2000 Chevy Silverado. The trailer wiring-left and right blinkers and running lights have power but not the brake lights.

You can buy small adapters that you plug into the car harness connector and allows you to test that the power is being supplied correctly.

In your case, I would suspect that the trailer wiring is at fault, rather than the truck's wiring..

I have a chevy Silverado with a tow hitch package. I'm try ing to wire in a new hitch because the last one got smashed, I can isolate the right and left blinkers and the brake lights, but on a 4 slot flat...

I can't look up your wiring diagram because I don't know model year?
On some makes and models, the lower brake lites are wired through the multifunction switch. Your turn and stop use the same bulb filament, just not at the same time. On a left turn, the left turn signal works, but the brake lite on the left doesn't. Now, the brake lamp on the right does work. The high mount brake lite also will work. The highmount brake lite is usually wired differently than the lower brake lites.
W/o being able to look at wiring diagram, I don't know if my info is applicable on your vehicle? I need model year.
