Can't find 02 toyota solara trunk button/latch

Depending on how many miles it has it may be under factory warranty. If it has less than 36k miles it will be. It will be totally free of charge. I had the same problem with mine and they had to replace the latch. I would check with the dealer first and see if it is still under warranty. If not the latch will need to be replaced.

Its probably the cable that runs from the latch to the trunk. This happened to me in my Accord. The part was only $25, but the labor was almost $260, so I just bought the part and did it myself. It was a lot of work (had to take up the carpet a little and take out the seats, but it only took 2 hours with 2 people working on it and I saved $260. hope that helps!

Front Hood won't latch shut
Try lubricating the latch and check your cable inside and make sure its in the right position, the latch wont pop again by pulling cable unless you get a Philips screwdriver and push down on the latch where the hood shuts, when it shuts it pushes that spring loaded lever over and latches. Yours is not latching because either is rusted and sticking, cable is out of position causing it to pull all the time or the hood just isn't going down far enough to latch, possibly something in the way.

Unlock trunk to 98 toyota corrolla
Usually there is a bar between the lock and the latch.
If the lock is broken and you can gain access thru the back seat, you should be able to take the bar out and turn the latch with a screwdriver.

Lost the keys for trunk and trying to fold the back seat ,but sounds impossible .how can i open it?
there should be a trunk release latch in the car my Camry's release latch is on the floor next to my driver side seat it says trunk right on it along with the release for the gas door thats a picture of a gas pump hope this helps you if its not on the floor there look along the underside of your dash for a button some cars even have them in the glove box although i don't think that applies for an older Toyota like yours

2002 Toyota Avalon. The trunk release button on the dash does not open the trunk. The key fob does not open the trunk. Only the key will open the trunk.
My avalon 2002 trunk was not opening. The problem was a little switch in the glove compartment was depressed I puched the switch back in and wala everything was just fine again. A lil black switch in the glove compartment. wish u the best.

But a used 2006 solara but key fob does not remotely open trunk. Any suggestions?
Yes, insure that you have power to the trunk lock inside trunk, If not could be lose/broken wire or shot fuse. I am sure the key fob does work for the doors? If not have key fob battery replaced. Also, a quick check on power to trunk lock, check to see if have remote power button inside car, if it works power is good. Defective key fob would then be indicated.
