The transmission changes hard going from 1st to 2nd.

I have a 1993 K1500. I had the transmission rebuilt in 2007. Shortly after the rebuild. It started changing gears really hard from 1st to 2nd when it is first cranked up. After you drive it for about 10 mins. It changes smoothly until you cut the truck off, and let it sit for awhile. Then it changes hard again for about 10 mins the next time you crank it up. The place that rebuilt it says it is not the transmission, but could be a mapping sensor controling the idle speed.

Dodge Ram 3500 skips from 1st to 3rd gear, had rebuild after still the same issue. Any advice?

Governor pressure controls the 1st and 2nd shifts. After that is the 3 and 4 solenoids. you would need to look at the pressure when driving(takes a scanner). pressure is 20 to 30 PSI from 1st to 2nd, depends on acceleration. After that the pressure will jump to 100+ psi. Did you replace the governor solenoid and sensor? They are on the passenger side of the transmission and sit in a block that detaches from the valve body.

93 jeep cherokee transmission having hard time going from 1st to 2nd i have 4.0 4wd automatic tranny kind of kicks in

Delay in shifting is generally caused by either an internal seal beginning to leak (takes longer to build pressure) or a sticking control valve. You can try changing the fluid and filter and adding lucas conditioner...if that does not help likely it's time for a rebuild. There is nothing external you can adjust on those.

98 5.7 4x4 trans shifts hard from 1st to 2nd and

This is most likely the first signs of transmission failure. There's not much you can do aside from getting it rebuilt. This should be a 700 R4 they're a pretty easy transmission to rebuild, however you want to do it sooner than later. Many of the parts can be re-used IF you don't let it go too long. I've rebuilt hundreds of these and I'm here to tell you that I'd rather not destroy 500-600 dollars worth of hard parts if I don't have to.

Transmission seems to be slipping and may need to be rebuilt. This transmission may be stuck in a high gear and the on way to repair is to have it rebuilt. Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA

Mazda Sentia 929 auto failure

Rebuilt gearbox probably... unfortunately!
If the HOLD light in the in strument cluster is flashing at you, it is giving you a transmission diagnostic code (like a kind of Morse Code). A transmission specialist or a Mazda Dealer will be able to read this code and plug their computer into the cars computer, and tell you what is wrong.
