2001 Ford Crown Victoria Logo

I have a 2001 Ford Crown Vic. I replaced the seats with 2002 seats. The air bag light is now on. The plugs are identical. Help

The original seats were manual and the new seats are manual too. They are the same plugs.

I found out the seller was incorrect with the year of the seats. Looks like they were for a 2007 model. I rebuilt the wiring harness and the airbag reset. Thanks for the imput. What do expect from a amature?

Hope you saved the old seats.test your old sensors with a ohm meter then test the new seat sensor to see if they test the same.if they don't you will have to swap out the sensors

SOURCE: 1999 FORD CROWN VIC. 4.6 - PROBLEM, NOISE

This is caused by the IAC valve. Over time the valve becomes gummy and inoperative. Get it replaced and the problem is solved. IAC stands for idle air control, hence the stalling concern.

SOURCE: Ford Mondeo Mk3 Estate 2L. Air bag / seat belt Warning Light

Common fault on FORD
Usually due to a poor connection in the YELLOW PLASTIC CONNECTOR underneath the passenger seat.

Just push it together properly and it should clear the AirBag fault

Air bag warning light flashes on my 90 crown vic. some say there is a corroded connection on the bumper, what do you look for to correct?

The light is on because there is a problem with the air bag system. When the air bag light is on the system is not working and will not deploy in the event of an accident. When the air bag light is on the system has set a code in the computer a scanning device can retrieve the code. The code will give you a clue where the problem is.

Air bag light on dash board citroen picasso

Check the plugs and sockets under the seats, they tell the airbag system if there are occupants and if the readings are wrong to the airbag ecu it disables itself and lights the warning lamp, clean the plugs and sockets or sometimes I have soldered the wires to get decent contact (one at a time)

Air suspension problem 92 crown vic

you can unplug it at the compressor end and supply your own power with a couple of bits of wire straight from your battery and does not interfere with the vehicles systems.Make sure you put positive to positive etcThat will tell you it operates. You will then have to remove outlet hose to check that it is creating any pressure. The pump should have a reciever drier that keeps moisture out of the air lines Considering the age of the vehicle that part is due for replacement.Do you have a test light/probe to check if you have power to the pump? You can do this test at the compressor plug.
