Car has automatic trans mission, can not to ignition lock fully to off/lock position resulting the key not able to remove and electrical still on
IGNITION KEY WILL NOT RELEASE It
can be faulty ignition lock cylinder. I suggest to wiggle the steering wheel
a bit and see if the key gets released out. If that is not helping
then first turn steering wheel to right and try removing the key, or next turn
steering wheel to left and see if you can remove the key. ---------- Spray
wd-40 in the ignition key hole and let it remain there for few minutes, after
that once again try to remove the key and see if that helps. --------- But
if that is not helping then ignition lock cylinder has to be removed out and
key has to be manually removed. ----------- For

I just had this problem as well... thank god I had a handy AAA guy to my rescue, who used a flat head screwdriver in the ignition to get it to turn a bit, which caused the white lock I could see (that holds the key in while driving) to release... and then I could insert the key... Though I notice this is now becoming a reoccuring issue... so I think the ignition needs replacing...

SOURCE: VW Jetta. Radio and clock are not working...
Radios often have a security code which needs to be entered when the radio is first turned on or if it has been disconnected. If you have the radio manual, then there should be a card with a number on it. Enter this via the channel selection buttons to resume normal service
(If your battery was entirely dead, then it may have been to low to maintain the normal operation of the radio; i.e. it "forgot" the code).
If you haven't got this code, then go to your dealer, who will advise
