Had this problem last summer: car wouldn't start, though turned over, so I bought new battery. The problem turned out to be the fuel pressure regulator, which sits atop the fuel pump beneath your back seat. SOURCE: Nissan 300ZX Fuel problem

I had an 82 280zx and now a 90 300zx, in both cars the fuel pump relays were located in the engine compartment, in the fuse boxes, as long as you can read the covers over the fuses, they are clearly marked.
2nd no fuel at filter would either be faulty pump or relay. All that the regulator does is regulate the pressure to the injectors and keep them consistant.

SOURCE: Nissan Sentra random stalls and wont start hot

Check out the catalytic converter, might be plugged up. I have seen some cars that will run fine, and like someone threw a switch the car acted like yours, no power, would not rev and died. Later when cold they would be OK for a while then just get worse and worse.

SOURCE: how to change a headlight on nissan versa 2007

How to change a headlight on Nissan Versa 2007. Open the hood, pull the power cable off of the headlight. Peel off the large black rubber cover. There is a metal clip you must push in and then out to unclip. The bulb will then slide out for replacement.

My 1995 Nissan pickup will start sometimes and sometimes won't. The motor will turn over but just won't start sometimes. It is mot the starter.

When it is not starting, spray a little starting fluid into the air intake then try again. If it fires then dies it is fuel trouble. if it doesn't fire it is lack of spark. If the fuel seems to be the source then suspect a loose connection in the fuel pump circuit. Try unplug and plugging the connections in the fuel pump circuit, fuel pump relay etc.

2007 nissan versa wont start sometimes motor turns over but wont crank

When you turn the key to start & the motor turns
or turns over that is the same thing as the crankshaft
turning you call won't crank

So you need to say my engine turns over but it will
not start

You need to check for fuel pressure & spark

Most likely you will need the help of a repair shop

I have a 2007 Nissan Versa and replaced the headlights (one bulb) on both sides within the last 6 months; only the brights are working; dims stopped working at the same time. Local Auto Zone stated it was...

Hi,

Look and check the head light/ low relay.

Seems that relay is not functioning anymore. To check it, ask somebody to turn on the headlight and you must hear some clicking sound on the relay box, if there are no clicking, pull out the relay and insert a similar type around that area, just to check if it works. Try to use that relay( the low beam) also to another similar socket to see if it works.

If the relay is still okay, problem would be the main light switch itself. Most nissan got problem with the contact points in the switch, the stopper that directs the contact points are made of plastic and tends to melt and holds the metal contact point instead of pushing it to another contactor.

Hope that helps you out!

Thanks for using Fixya!

Engine does not run smooth

Sounds like a fuel problem, Bad fuel pump relay of actual fuel pump check relay first may be working intermittently.( Replace relay first before going to pump). Good luck thanks for using FIX YA

Nissan versa gas treatment

I agree with Gary, it's not likely the regulator. More than likely it is the check valve in the fuel pump that doesn't hold the pressure after the car is shut off. Adding a treatment won't do anything but drain your wallet.
