Of course. Ebay is your best friend. Well, next to me of course!

Here is the search criteria I used:

thermostat (daewoo, dae)

This brings up anything with "thermostat" and "daewoo" in the name, or anything with "thermostat" and "dae" in the name, just in case some spelled it "dae woo".

I also expanded the search to include store inventory.

Here is the one I think will work best for you:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-00-01-02-Daewoo-LANOS-THERMOSTAT-HOUSING_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1205Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem370156811371QQitemZ370156811371QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

or you can type in the item number: 370156811371

This guy has several and is selling them for only $45 plus $12 shipping.
It's advertised as being an improved design, metal instead of plastic. I'm assuming you had the plastic kind?

Double check the VIN numbers like he suggest and if it checks out, go order it!

Good luck! Hopefully this is helpful to you.

Recently service my daewoo leganza sx head also repaird since i get the car i found with in two minutes the temperature goes high coolant system is perfect do i have to adjust the valve clearance

are you getting sufficient flow through the cooling system,i.e. clogged radiator, bad water pump, stuck thermostat. also when the head was repaired , was it pressure test for cracks? valves out of adjustment will cause the engine to run poorly but not overheat.

How to fix thermostat on 2001 daewoo nubira

Locate upper radiator hose.

It will attach to the top or front of your engine block via thermostat housing.

Remove hose from thermostat housing, catch coolent accordingly. Then remove thermostat housing, usually two or three bolts. If housing does not come off easy you may try an jiggle it loose, if no luck get a flathead and pry it off, there may be a thermostat housing gasket, or possibly simple RTV silicone gasket maker. Once housing is off pull thermostat out. Noting it's position, mostthermostats have a small dimple of hole indicating upwards position.

Once removed use razor blade to remove old gasket and or RTV.

If it's a paper gasket, buy a new gasket with your new thermostat. (some thermostats come with gaskets, others dont). Also while at the parts store pick up a tube of silicone RTV black gasket maker.

Now! Once everything is cleaned, mock up the gasket with the housing so you know proper placement. open gasket maker, lay a 2mm bead (read packaging to confirm bead) along the gasket on bock sides leaving no open parts, leave the bead, don't spread it around with your finger.

Ok now put thermostat in block, then gasket and housing. Try and install it one swift motion without making a mess. You do not want that RTV to leak out the sides and be all messy!

Torque both housing bolts to factory spec. I you don't know spec call autozone, or just tighten them to your liking. Not to tight.

Crack open a miller light and wait for RTV to set up. When set up( again read packaging) then install radiator hose. And clamp it down, not to tight, the clamp may puncture the hose if swollen or old.

Now, tour good to go, but you may need to bleed air out the system, I suggest taking it to a jiffy lube or shop n asking them to do it real quick, or just ask another question on here and I'll explain!

Good luck.

Have you checked inside vehicle to ensure there is no heater core leak? If not leak found there and leak at thermostat housing is not severe once at normal operating temp, issue could be with a cylinder head crack to an exhaust valve which generally vents coolant to exhaust with very little or none showing in oil.

Daewoo lanos thermostat where is it so i can replace it, is there any difficulty in me replacing it myself? regards Matt

thermostat housing is on engine block, left side as you look at engine. Thick black rubber hose leads from radiator to the thermostat. Two bolts to remove, be sure to clean all stuck- on sealant so you get a smooth, flat surface when reinstalling thermostat housing.
