My car started yesterday remaining at 50 mph until I removed my foot from the gas and pressed it again, in which it began to accelerate. Last night, however, it wouldn't accelerate beyond 30 mph. It will still crank, and there's no engine light or any warning light on. What could the problem be??

hi with the engine running at idle .get a multimeter and check for a voltage of between 13.5 volts and 14.7 at the battery terminals lower than 13.5 or higher than 14.7 replace alternator.

you should have the code read with a scanner at a garage Possible (Throttle position sensor ??? (TPS) the code reader will tell you exactly wich sensor is the problem

I would take the truck to an autoparts store and have the fault codes retrieved from the computer. Most stores will do the scan for free. I would lean toward a faulty throttle position sensor, but that's just speculation. The fault codes should narrow the problem down. Hope this helped and best wishes.

You may be losing the speedo cable. Others have reported the light flashing related to this. You may also want to check tranny oil condition (color should be clear red, and smell should not have a burnt smell to it)...

if your car give you i code thats says mutlipul misfire on number 1,2,3,or four cyl. that means that that cyl is not firing when its suppost to so if the code says number 3 cyl misfire or multipul misfire replace number 3 spark plug and coil pack and 80% of the time that will solve the problem.
