Sometimes but not often the windows would not work.
Now none of the windows work.
The fuse is good and I have ground to the switches.
The ground to the body just inside the door is good.
I don't know what wires should have 12V+ to check.
Still no power windows.
I am having the same problem, though haven't followed the advice regarding the keyless entry just yet. However, I read somewhere that the Generic Electronic Module (GEM) could also be at fault. Good luck.
Check the relay in the box under the hood and also make sure no one turned the button off to all the window controls on the driverside door panel
it has to be a loose wire coming from the main power source for the windows somewhere I would check inside the driverside door to make sure all the plug wires are in and check the wire to the safety switch that it does not have a short in it to the driverside door
normally when a motor goes out in one door it usually only affects that door's window, each of them has to go out to affect each window individually if you push the buttons on each door do you hear the motors running? also do you have keyless enter on the drivers door? check that for a short that also may cause this problem

I looked at the owners manual for the fuse box under the hood that has the fuse for the Power Windows .
According to the manual there isn't a relay in this box for the windows.
Is it somewhere else ?
If the motor quits in the drivers door will it also stop the operation of all other doors.
How can it be checked?
The switch to lock the windows is off and has been checked for proper function and is OK

I have checked and checked and rechecked the wires for a fault and can't find one.
The window lock switch works according to my meter.
The connections are solid to the switches and the switches work.
Do you know the color code of the wires to the window motor or have a wiring diagram so I can trace 12v+ ?
Do you know where I could run a jumper to bypass possible problems to isolate the fault?
I have traced ground into the ground with no luck.
If the motor is bad would it affect the other doors too?
Thanks,
Kit
Yeah...I have the same problem in our 2005...only besides the windows, the CD/Radio has also been knocked totally out. It's at a Ford dealership right now and took the "electrician" a couple of days to find that some Generic Electronic Module has shorted out. I don't even know where it is or what the technical term is. What I do know is that the dealership wants over $500 to repair it....extended warranty says they cover wiring/electronics, the windows, and the factory radio....yet not this specific module that has supposedly gone out and needs to obviously work or other devices won't function. It's gotta be something like that because I ran all over the fuse box and power distribution box under the hood with a multi-meter and there is no power getting to the fuse or circuit breaker that control the windows & audio. The PDB is connected directly to the battery. It's beyond me. Good luck to us indeed.
none of my windows work the fuse is good but there is no power to the switch
