This is obviously a heater system control problem, I beleive this system is vaccuum controled with vacuum acuators that open and close doors in response to the climate control system comands.

Listen for the sound of escaping air from under the dash board, esp on the drivers side. Look for any unattached hoses under the dash. From there if you do not see anything obvious, you will have to obtain a schematic of the HVAC system, understand it's opearation and then start testing the vacuum control devices. maybe more than you want to do.

automatic climate control with dual controls?

Sounds like a broken drivers side blend door. Very common problem. Jeep has a repair kit that includes a new metal blend door and instructions on how to cut out an access in the HVAC housing. The kit also includes a new passenger blend door. If you want to replace both you',, need to pull the entire dash and then the HVAC housing which is a much better but more time consuming way of doing it. Pulling the housing is a huge job!

My heater will turn on after my jeep warms up and then shut off blow cold air and never g Get hot again

The A/C and heating problems in GC's is most often caused by broken blend doors, which control the flows of hot and cold air.

1999 grand cherikee dual heating zone 1 side hot passanger side cold

If the heat control system is operated by small vacuum hoses, check the hoses under the hood and under the dash at the heater control. The hoses control "doors" or large air-valves which direct heated air. Sometimes the hoses break or become disconnected, and sometimes the doors get stuck.

Cold air passenger side, warm air driver's side

same thing happened to mine at 2 yrs. old , the connecting arm on air mix positioner broke. The whole dash had to come out. Part was cheap but labor was huge. This is not a job for the do-it-yourself.

Heat/ac not working on 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited

look for Main A/C relay, look for fuses, or go to a/c shop and have gas check out, perhaps leaks, perhaps evaporator, perhaps condenser, but start for relay box on front passengers side, or fuses on same side

Heat works on driver side, passenger side blows cold air.

Did you check your coolant level or was it low and you added to it at some point? If so the system my need to be bleed or worst case the thermostat is going bad.
