The Horn in my Cadillac doesn't work. When i first tried to fix the problem, i checked the fuses, and sure enough, the horn fuse was blown. I changed the fuse, and still nothing. I also checked to make sure it didnt blow the new fuse (it didn't). One thing to note is when i tap the horn, it makes a noise, its like a click, with a small hint of horn lol. There is another fuse for the horn, but its one of the big ones that you cant check. if you guys have any ideas, let me know. Thanks :)
If you hear the relay clicking, and even faint horn, check the connections on the horns themselves, there are probably two. If they seem okay then take a piece of wire and jump from +power to the horn terminal. Be prepared because if it works it will be very loud, and I know more than one person who's hit his head on the hood doing this. If it doesn't work, replace the horns. Hope this helps. Cheers.
Use a piece of speaker wire stripped at each end, if you don't have a jumper wire with small alligator clips at each end. Any wire will work. As long as it's long enough. You can use your jumper cables if you take the red one at one end, and clamp it ot the red+ bat. term. and at the other end, touch the red clamp to the contact on the horn, after you take off the horn wire. Caution not to let the clamp touch anything else because it will short circuit and give a light show. Remember to brace yourself for the loud horn when you make contact. Post your results.
