Fog lights don't work new bulbs

If they worked before you put in the new bulbs and not after, you may have blown the fuses. The fuses are for a 55 Watt halogen bulb. Many people replace them with 100 watt bulbs which blow the two fuses. Replace the 7.5 amp fuses with 10 amp fuses, but nothing bigger or you could damage the wiring if you get a short.

My brake lights are out but i changed the bulb and still nothing i wanted to now where is the fuse for the brake lights

It's bad brake light switch mounted just above brake pedal on brake pedal shaft. Common problem w/BMW. They're cheap & easy to replace.

I have a 97 328i. currently the brakes lights are not working, so I changed the brake light switch and that didn't do it then I cleaned the bulb connections and still no dice. I'm going to check fuses now...

Pretty much the fuses. BMW runs "home runs" to each light and has a fuse to protect it. On the E36 models there was a problem with the wire harness where it comes into the truck. The harness gets work and may cause a short. I would inspect the harness in the trunk area as well as taking care of the fuses.

1997 328 tail light failure

Hello!

You should check the wiring loom on the left trunk hinge.
It gets damaged very often on these bmw's you won't be able to see if there is damage from outside, you need to pull the protective rubber covering pretty far down to inspect.

If it's damaged any decent audio shop can repair it (or you can do it yourself if you're good at soldering)

after it's fixed replace any burnt fuses and it should be ok

Hope this helps!
