Is there a headlight switch in the Olds Aurora. What if I need the headlights during the day when there is a snow storm or it is raining. I see a fog light switch and of coure the high beams but no

I just recently purchased this car and it did not come with a manual. I live in Minnesota so lots of various weather conditions. I just want to make sure the headlights come on during the day when it is snowing or raining.

First, here is the owner's manual:

http://www.manualowl.com/am/Oldsmobile/1997-Aurora/Manual/979?page=1

Which can be downloaded and you can read it without having to access the 'net.

The answer to the light switch (which also illuminates the dash panel (and speedometer) is on the turn signal/cruise control arm... Just rotate it upward to turn the headlights on; rotate down to turn off.

But my lights are on all the time, just not very bright, until you 'turn them on'...

SOURCE: headlight adjustment

AIMING The head lamps should be aimed using a special alignment tool, however this procedure may be used for temporary adjustment. Local regulations may vary regarding head lamp aiming, consult with your local authorities.

  1. Verify the tires are at their proper inflation pressure. Clean the head lamp lenses and make sure there are no heavy loads in the trunk. The gas tank should be filled.
  2. Position the vehicle on a level surface facing a flat wall 25 ft. (7.7 m) away.
  3. Measure and record the distance from the floor to the center of the head lamp. Place a strip of tape across the wall at this same height.
  4. Place strips of tape on the wall, perpendicular to the first measurement, indicating the vehicle centerline and the centerline of both head lamps.
  5. Rock the vehicle side-to-side a few times to allow the suspension to stabilize.
  6. Turn the lights on, adjust the head lamps to achieve a high intensity pattern.

My '93 lexus headlights won't turn on. if I hold the switch to "flash" the high beams, the lights are on, but just to drive at night or during the rain, nothing lights.

Go to your local auto parts store and buy some new ones. They will help you put them in. It sounds like you lost the low beams. When the low beams go out the high beams will still work. It just sounds to me like the bulbs are out. if not they shouldn't charge you for the bulbs.

How do u change driver's side headlight bulb on 95 olds Aurora?

Remove the retainers from the back, and remove the headlight as a whole from the front, and replace the bulb inside,do not touch the new bulb on the glass part. Should be 2 retainers holding the housing in place, one to each side. Good luck.

Tail lights, parking lights and dash lights not working

If signal lights are working, probably a failing headlight switch. Even though fuses seem OK, you can try replacing the appropriate fuse.
