if you cleared the code - fixed arc and checked their are no more arcs - and keeps coming back then problem can be a burnt or carboned valve --lifter -push rod --piston

misfires are more from faulty injectors / leaking injectors so check the codes as the misfire code will indicate the problem cylinder
exampl code p0300 is random misfires and codes p0301 through to p 0308 is the cylinder ie p 0303 is no 3 cylinder
P0301 Cylinder #1 misfire. First of all check Spark plug, plug wire, Compression in #1 cylinder and if all are fine then I would be looking at the fuel pump !
I have run into these caravans burning oil, not much you can do except keep an eye on the oil level or spend a lot of money having piston rings replaced. The best way to go about finding the misfire would be to go to an auto zone or other auto parts store that will scan the computer for codes. the codes will tell you which cylinder is misfiring. I would bet it could be a fouled spark plug due to oil burning but could be a plug wire also.Have the codes read and find the cylinder that is misfiring and remove the spark plug and see if the tip is covered or worn down, if it is then replace spark plug and you may want to do them all. up to you. If the plug is okay then move on to spark plug wires, swap the misfiring cylinder wire with another cylinder and see if misfire moves if it does then replace the wires.
To find the cylinder by #. If you are standing if front of the van looking at engine cylinders 2,4,and 6 are in front, closest to radiator from left to right. then cylinders 1,3,and 5 are at the rear also going left to right. Good day.
2005 CARAVAN 3.3L.
Van misfires, code says coil three . change out with new a cam sensor , injector, wires , plugs and of coarse coil. What is left and why would the pcm just have a problem with # 3.
ps i checked the compression and all six cylinders have 165. lbs.
Spake pluge could have gone bad, or the Spark Plug wire. Try changing all your plugs and wire and inspect the old one's. The wire could be bad do to time or may have been against the exhaust manifold and brunt. Good luck
really a pain in the buttoch.
