My driving lights will not turn off and to do so I have to remove the horn relay located under the hood. Interior lights do not come on and I was wondering 1. if the two issues have anything in comin and 2. does anyone know why the driving lights do not go off. I purchased a repair manual and have been trouble shooting but no luck
A "short" somewhere but someone who knows electrical troubleshooting may help, & get an estimate, before any work is done!!! Also, google the model for the manual if you don't have one. Have you asked your local Lincoln dealer, our guy is Benson on Rt 51, Whitehall 15236. Call, they may help you. Love or Lincoln, this is our third. "95, "98, & '02.

there is a plastic cover over the hood latch.in front of radiator. the horns are under there. you should disconnect the negitive battery cable first so airbag dosen't go off.

The horn location won't be in a wheel well. Most likely it's down low between the frame rails poking it's business end thru the separator between the headlights/radiator and the engine compartment proper. The separator contains and forces ram air thru the radiator as a basic design feature. Horns are allowed to poke thru a hole in it so that the volume gets projected forward so that it can be heard.

Could be the tensioner, but could be other things too. If your worried, work with the seller to take it to a trustworthy mechanic for an inspection.

You may have a poor connection in the wiring to the horns or the grounding connection. The click you hear is the horn relay. Have someone press the horn button while you wiggle wires. Also try rapping on the horns themselves with a stick or screwdriver handle--if that makes them honk, the internal contacts may be bad. Replace them if that is so, as they are usually sealed. Hope this helps!
