Question about Cars & Trucks
Wih the air intake open, the heater will start up for 90sec. then shut off. If i block the air intake about 80% the heater performs great. I have replaced all of the air filters, fuel filter, spark plug, replenished new fuel and new fuel cap. I have checked air preasure with guage and it reads high-10/12lbs. psi.. I can get it down to about 8 lbs.psi..Dont know how acurate the guage is. firstname.lastname@example.org
The heater should fire up within seconds of plugging in and turning on.. if not check for alignment of igniter with the spray of fuel ..there is a safety issue with these if they dont fire up almost imediately..realign the igniter into the back of the fuel spray and make sure it works within 1-3 seconds..otherwise you will get fumes instead and a blowup is likely..do this outdoors so in case there is an issue it dont set anything on fire...be careful..

My problem was solved when I repaired my 4 wd activation dash switch. The switch was contacting on 2WD & 4HI at the same time. The front differential activation is vacuum activated possibly creating a tug of war that didn't actually engage it but drained off vacuum from the engine? A theory at best but stumbbled across it because I knew the switch wasn't working properly I repaired it and low and behold rough idle disappeared and all is good for 3 weeks running.

i have had the same problem at times. my car would start and then shut off. but i found that i needed oil and check my oil and it was a quater low put in some oil and everything went fine i notices that everytime the oil is low the same thing happens also depending on the position of the car being park meaning that if you are in a down hill position or up hill position i will do the same. so you have to accelarate for 1 minute to have the oil go up. i hope this works
