Car skips at constant speed, loses power, then dies.

I have a 95 Olds 88, the car feels like it skips sometimes, mostly when im going at a constant speed. and now, it dies on us sometimes after loosing some power. I changed the ignition module, but this problem still persists. could it be the spark plugs? maybe the wires? or fuel pump?

Check fuel filter it might need replacing, then have fuel pump checked.

I think you should use our live chat option, tech's are better at giving out detailed info if they are getting paid to do so.

SOURCE: Vehicle dies while driving down the road.

could it be the A/C pump kicking in. might be boging down the motor or electrical circuit, not letting the injectors get enough power. This could happen if the bearings are going bad in th A/C pump or there is a short in it. Just an idea. sounds like you have done the main components.

I know it sounds crazy but check to see if the floor mat is blocking gas pedal. I have seen this alot in my 30 years as a master tech.the way you describe it sounds like all the other cust of mine that had the same issue. hope that is all it is. good luck and let me know.
