The malfunction indicator light came on.

I have a 2005 Dodge 1500 RAM with just over 16,000 miles. I dont remember seeing this indicator before. I have changed the air filter and added some fuel injector cleaner to the fuel tank.

May be unrelated but I was driving on the interstate through a cloud of dust thrown up by several semi trucks just before the light came on...

Thanks for the suggestion. I had the auto parts store read the code. The code is P0404 (EGR Flowckt rang/perf) and has something to do with the EGR valve. Any additional suggestions for replacing the EGR valve?

2005 Dodge Ram 1500. My running lights don't go on?

Check the bulbs. DAYTIME Running Lights are controlled by the Body Control Module. You need an auto electrician for that.

No fuse covering them.

05' Dodge RAM 1500 code p0420. I've been changing oxygen sensors since u bought it 2 years ago, thought the problem was solved but yet again check engine light came on, could there be an other problem??

Hello: Code P0 420 indicates the catalytic converter is operating below calibrated efficiency (below 60%) replacing the oxygen sensors will not correct the condition. The converter needs to be replaced and the code cleared.

I have a 2008 Dodge Caravan. My gascap was loose

The light has to be actively turned off because the code will not necessarily clear itself. Sometimes it can be done by disconnecting the battery for an hour. If that doesn't work, it'll have to be done with a garage's scan tool.

My 2004 Dodge Ram engine light came on,put in drive it wouldn't move. I had computor check done & showed code PO 700

the code indicates a malfunction in the transmission control system. I will be back with you to see if I can find the location of this box, if you don't already know.

2006 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 misfire

Dodge recommends new plugs at 60k. If that engine, I don't remember off hand, has a coil pack over overy plug, try switching the coil to a different plug and see if the missfire moves. If it does then you need a coil, if it doesnt then its the plug.
