I need to know what color are for what on my radio wire harness

Here are the wire colors and their corresponding functions for the three OEM radio plugs in a 1993 Chevy C1500:
Plug A:

• Yellow: Battery
• Red: Ignition
• Black: Ground
• Gray: Illumination
• Brown: Dimmer
• Light Green: Left Front Speaker (+)
• Tan: Left Front Speaker (-)
• Dark Green: Right Front Speaker (+)
• Light Blue: Right Front Speaker (-)

Plug B:

• Orange: Constant 12V+
• Yellow: Switched 12V+
• Black: Ground
• Gray: Illumination
• Brown: Dimmer
• Light Green: Left Rear Speaker (+)
• Dark Green: Left Rear Speaker (-)
• Brown/White: Right Rear Speaker (+)
• Yellow/Black: Right Rear Speaker (-)

Plug C:

• White: Left Rear Speaker (+)
• Gray: Left Rear Speaker (-)
• Purple: Right Rear Speaker (+)
• Green: Right Rear Speaker (-)

buy a genuine chevy wiring harness for the dash which will include the fusebox inner. it is quite a job and the part is over 500.00 good luck

Are you check right "firing order" ? Some "check engine" light on dashborad turn on?

the easiest way to install a new radio is to get the wiring harness adapter for your vehicle it runs about $25 and then you do not have to cut the factory harness. the wiring codes will come with the new harness and is just matching up there color code to the new stereos color code.
