Radio will not turn on in dodge caravan - 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question edited for clarity and typos 'carvan' > 'Caravan', add the word 'Grand'.

64 mentions of 'Code' in the manual and not one is the security code for the radio! It does mention 'sales code'.

My 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan lost all interior lights. No radio or door lock power. Iod fuse was good and so were connections. I removed my radio and checked the 12volt constant wires. Gray and pinkish red. Only 2volts. Ran a jumper frm battery to radio 12volt constant and tadaa. Got it all back. Been driving it with no problems since. Hope this helps someone else.

did you hook up the ground wire to back of radio it is not in the main plug it will go a bolt on the center of the radio and to the metal frame behind the radio
