do not flush the trans, that will make it worse.
My friend you have no second gear, you need trans rebuilt.
If you flush it now you can cause more damage.

You did not mention if stick or automatic. Both can be rebuilt. Often rebuilders will take your unit and use one they previously built in order to save time.
The problem in just loosing one or two gears is that debris from whatever failed will contaminate all the internal parts and bearings. So, you usually can't just replace one or two parts and make it work.
Replacing yours with one that has been rebuilt by a competent shop, or, replacing it with as known good scrapyard unit is generally the best and fastest way to get it back on the road.

If the clutch is good and no air in the hydrolic system, your synchronizers are most likely going bad.

If it goes into other gears correctly, then the issue is likely a synchromesh problem with that particular gear, and the gearbox may have to be stripped.
You may try changing the gear oil first though, as this can often fix the issue without having to spend too much money on unnecessary repairs.
