Car won't start after using Auto headlights on 2005 Lexus LS430

I make sure that all lights are off when locking car-however if the auto headlights switch is left on-the battery will be dead. My old LS 400 never had this problem
The 2005 has only 31000 miles and I purchased the car 1 month ago. It looks like a new battery.

Also the auto-trunk lifters don't seem to be working. I have to manually pull open the trunk once I release it. Isn't it supposed to slowly open/close itself?

The trunk should auto close when you manually lower the lid to the almost closed position, but it is NOT designed to open up fully when you hit the trunk release on the key fob, nor when you open the trunk manually using the touch sensitive button under the lip of the trunk.

2005 Lexus LS430 trunk lid won't close completely

The latch is most likely the issue. If the trunk is used a lot, the latch is misaligned or a foreign object obstructed the latch from closing. The latch itself could be damaged. Carefully inspect the opening of the latch and look for bent, mushroomed or damaged steel. I would have to see to know for sure, how to proceed.

2001 Lexus LS430. when I start the car most times it's fine, but when I take off from Park to Drive the SKID CONTROL Light comes on and beeps and the vehicle starts to brake on it own (Quiet Freak

You must have the dealer scan the system with a special tool to see what is causing this unwanted activation of the vehicle stability control system.

Check your gas cap, it may not be sealing properly that's why your getting the VSC light on the dashboard. Eventualy the light will go out after you fix. Good luck.

Headlight level warning

check your height sensor on your suspension. theres 4 sensors that look at ride height for the headlights to adjust when going up and down hills. you may have bent one when working on the car.

How do I adjust headlights on 2005 lexus LS430

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam (separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal adjustment screws as well

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.

Is the "certified" distinction for an '05 LS430 worth the extra $

I say a factory warranty is always worth the money, but read the fine print.
