You will have to take it in to the dealer to have them reset the air bag if it has gone off if not it just might be a senser gone bad. the abs light is also the same way there will have to hook up to the car and reset the light

Ihave a 2006 hyndai accent and my oil is up to date fluids are full and just went trough DEQ last month. After I hit 60300 miles my engien light went on. My dad says some newer cars have a sensor after you...

No check engine light means there is something wrong with engine, get it checked. Your Dad is also right but that light is "Service" light or specific part light like in toyota the clutch change light appears after some defined kilometers and it has to be reset after clutch change (it does not go off itself as there is no feature to detect new clutch etc).

Abs light on the bloke im buying it from says the car has been stood a couple of months and it wasnt on before it got parked up could it be that its got dirt on the sensor. ste

Tell him to clean the sensor to put the light out. It is bound to be more than dirt. Once the ABS light is on, you usually have to empty your wallet to put it out. Maybe it's a sensor, but not from dirt. Maybe a wire broke, sometimes a tone ring splits. You can easily do a visual inspection of the sensors, tone rings, and wires; but if those are good, it's probably the control unit. I have pasted a picture of the tone ring on the axle. The rear tone rings are inside the drum and less susceptible to damage. Make sure the tone ring is square on the axle and not loose--no missing teeth, etc. Sensor should be square on the tone ring. Let me know if you have more questions.

Have to delite the abs lamp after chengce abs sensor? accent 97mod

If the ABS wheel speed sensor was defective and you replaced it, the ABS light will automatically turn off once the vehicle is driven. If the ABS light stays on, you still have another problem in the system.
If the light remains on, have the codes read and reply back with the codes and we can start diagnosing.
