More than likely the blower motor resistor is bad

  • Anonymous Feb 01, 2009

on a 2000 caravan the resistor is located under the hood on the passenger side close to the strut tower, under the cowl and wiper module....it is held in by 2 5/16 screws

  • Anonymous Dec 14, 2011

on the 2000 SE, there are no screws. The assembly 'snaps' into the rectangular hole, and the only way to get it off - is to YANK it off!
It IS located like Russell Bailey said below - passenger side under the hood, next to the strut tower on the back wall. It is a tan gray phenolic block with a black connector. Grab a hold of the edges and pry it off. There is no nice way of doing it!

How do I replace blower motor resistor?

U are on the right track. But check this out - is the low speed on the blower the only thing that is not working? Could be other things, such as lights that you are not aware of.

On some cars the low speeds for the blower work thru the ignition switch. If something is wrong with the switch the fan will work on high speed only but the lower speeds are inoperative.

Only High speed blower front on 01 dodge grand carvan

Sounds like you need to replace the Blower Motor Resistor. It is located on the bottom of the heater box about where the passengers left foot would rest, behind glove box. It has 2 screws holding it on.

Heater fan will not shut off runs all the time on high speed. 03 dodge grand caravan

Sounds like resistor is faulty. I believe on that vehicle, look up under dash behind glove box, and you should see blower & the harness that runs from it to a resistor attached to housing/duct. Pull connector off to stop blower. Replace resistor.

Blower motor only works on high.

you can go to Alldata.com to subcribe to the factory manual, but you need the blower motor resistor, a dealer item. And typically its located by the blower mounted to the blower housing.

Air conditioning only works on high - 2002 Grand Caravan

If you are looking for the fan blower resistor, it is located behind the glove box. No tools need to get to it and a nut driver to remove the 2 screws to replace it. A 20$ part. It has 2 sets of wires coming off of it. A do it yourself fix.
