I have exactly the same problem. Just changed battery today on 2002 VW Golf TDI, and the radio is completely dead. Checked the fuse - looks fine. (Fuse 42 incidentally. Fuses are on the side of the driver's dash facing the door ie. only accessible once the door is open). Anyone know why the radio has completely died?
