if the code shows a cam position sensor then it is the cam position sensor and not the crank position sensor
get the car to an accredited service center before it cost more money from inexperienced interference

no just remove the timing belt cover and crankshaft pulley.

camshaft wont cause it to not start just will cause it to run like **** take the crank sencer out and take it to the auto store and have checked out

i have a 2000 eclipse and got a trouble shooting code p0340 for a camshaft position sensor. but my car dont have one?

Is this a V6 or 4cyl???>>>(V6) This requires removing the Harmonic balancer (crankshaft pulley). Remove (R) front wheel, remove engine splash Guard, Remove crank pulley, remove lower timing belt cover. The Crank sensor is located behind the crank shaft pulley!! I highly recommend having this done by a certified tech, requires special tools. Hopefully this helps!!

its by your intake manifold on the bottom of the engine block. there is a heat shield covering it which will need to be removed to get to it

under hood, center, upper engine area, mounted on upper driver side of engine.
