1990 geo storm sohc is running rough. Parts that are new: cap, rotor, plugs wires, plugs, pickup coil, and the ignition module looks brand new. The coil is old, but is still sending spark through all the...

I would look into replacing the coil even though it is sending spark it might not be enough and I would go through and just double check all my wires as well as the firing order because if it's off just a little it will make the car run rough

Miss fire on #6 cylinder. Potential causes. Which cylinder is 6?

The #6 cylinder is the last cylinder on the right side while you stand in front of the vehicle. Firing order is 1 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2. Potential cause and best case scenario is you have a defective spark plug causing improper ignition. Another scenario is the #6 coil pack is defective. If you have not replaced the spark plugs (30,000 mile intervals), then the issue may be just the spark plug(s).

NEED HELP WITH THE FIRING ORDER ON A 1997 JEEP WRANGLER 2.5L ENGINE. I BELIEVE THE ORDER IS 1-3-4-2 BUT WHICH CYLINDER IS 1,2,3,4 AND HOW IS THE DISTRIBUTOR CAP ORIENTED IN RELATION TO SAME? THANKS, BRIAN.

on the intake manifold it has the cylinders numbered 1432 and on the distributor it has the #1 pulg marked and will go in reverse directions so remove the cap if it has one and put the plugs on in order of the postion#1 on the distributroter then go 1342 if it has coils the coils pack will have numbers on the pack 12 34 so put the pulg wire on the way the coil is marked and the wat the intake is marked, there is only two ways it can be wired it's 1423 or 1234 so go for it. hope this helps.
