While I'm driving the front driver side grinds then stops grinds again in sync with wheel speed.. at slow speeds in traffic it sometimes squeals with the grind. i didn't notice it on the highway but once i got in traffic it was very noticeable. just experienced this out of no where yesterday. I'm pretty sure its not the bearing. there is no difference weather turning either direction at any speed? would it be the cv shaft? it never made the ticking noise that i experienced in my nissan 200sx. where would you start? if the front cv shaft completely goes will it still be drivable?

CHECK YOUR UNIVERSAILS COULD BE WORN OR DRY U NEED TO PULL OUT THE SHAFT TO CHECK PROPLEY CHECK FOR STIFFNESS AND NOTCHEY MOVEMENT

If your getting a grinding noise when turning it's probably in the power steering. If you leaking fluid you have a hole, more then likely in the high pressure line or the rack and pinion is bad.
SOURCE: i have a grinding noise near the back drivers side...
Sounds like a broken bearing. If your wheel is beginning to wobble it will make contact with the brake shoes and this will them very hot to the point of giving off a burning smell

How would someone know that answer?
You mentioned 3 items, should we pick one!
What about brakes?
Sounds like front wheel bearings.
Does the sound go away when swaying one way or the other?
If you way left and ot gets louder it should be the right bearing and opposite for swaying right
