Disconnect the battery completely, try turning the key with the battery disconnected. Put the battery back together. The check engine light should be off now..

I have a 2004 Ford Taurus SES 3.0 DOHC V6. I have 3 misfires codes P0301, P0304, P0316 (Startup). Changed all 6 ignition coils & spark plugs, and fuel injector on 4. Low gas mileage. O2 Sensor?

i think its the ecu, i had misfire codes come up in my 06 explorer, changed everything like you did, it was the ecu, i got one on ebay with keys for 150, it worked, also ford systems require a fully charged battery

Misfiring on bank 1 3 and 5

misfiring is also from injectors and low fuel pressure. To be all on the same side I suspect injector wiring ( possible loose connection on the ECM). Have a compression test done to delete mechanical problems (valves)

What do i need to check if the number three cylindar is miss firing. I have ignition coil, spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter. I had and oil change as well.

Have you had it scanned anywhere. If its misfiring, the computer will read it as a misfire. if it is misfiring, the probable cause is the fuel injector. have you changed the plug wires with the plugs?

1999 Ford Taurus 3.0L V6 24V DOHC Duratec Engine Engine was misfiring, plugs replaced, KAM erased, Idles Slow and Rough. OBDII says misfire ocurring on cyl 4 & 5. Codes P0300, P0304 and P0305

i would check the plug wires and the coils you check the plug wires for bad spots at night start the motor up and look at the plugs if you see a spark arch out the wire and to a peace of metal then the plug wires need to be replace.

2002 Taurus 24v Duratec getting 301 and 316 codes. Misfiring bad while idling at a light or drive thru. Any ideas ?

Ok the P0301 code means that your engine is misfiring on the first #1 cylinder so that is good you know where it is coming from. The P0316 Code means that your engine is misfiring in the first 1000 revolutions of the engine starting. What i would suggest you do is change the plug and wire on cylinder #1. If this doesn't solve your problem then you can go to your coil packs and change that. If that still doesn't solve your problem then it may get difficult leading to an injector. But i am almost positive that it is going to be no more then a plug wire or coil pack!

My 2002 Ford Ranger Edge V-6 is misfiring after it warms up when trying to accelerate or under a load, going uphill. The vehicle jerks around 2500 rpm and above 45 mph. It doesn?t **** as bad at higher...

havent a clue here ,one cylinder now another missing ,only one thing comes to mind here and thats the coil pack ,check the voltage across the battery with engine running at 1500rpm and if its higher than 15.5 volts of their abouts then the alternator regulator is playing up and this would cause problems with the coil pack or the ECU ,also the radio could blow and lots of bulbs.Other that this i would need to get my greasy hands on it and give the magic hammer treatment
