The wrench warning light on Ford vehicles is the powertrain malfunction indicator light. When it illuminates, it means that the computer has detected an issue with your vehicle's powertrain or four-wheel-drive system.

A powertrain malfunction light should be taken seriously, as allowing a serious issue to persist can lead to costly repairs to your engine, transmission, or drivetrain in the long run. You should consider having the car towed straight to an authorized dealer rather than driving if you notice any changes in your vehicle's performance like engine shaking or reduced power. In cases where you are towing a heavy load and/or driving up a steep grade, a powertrain malfunction light may be telling you to ease off to avoid overheating. If the problem resolves itself the warning may go away.
It's possible that your vehicle might enter Fail-Safe Mode shortly after the powertrain malfunction light illuminates. Fail-Safe Mode automatically limits engine power so that you can safely maneuver your vehicle off the road without causing any further damage to your vehicle's components. If this happens, you should only continue to drive as long as necessary to bring your vehicle to rest in a safe location and seek immediate repairs.

When a light is yellow, your Ford is trying to tell you that service may be required, or at the least, you should have a technician decipher the warning lights meaning. Powertrain Malfunction (Wrench) Warning Indicator (base instrument cluster)
The instrument cluster receives the powertrain status from the PCM over the high speed CAN. When a powertrain system concern is detected, the PCM sends the instrument cluster a command signal to illuminate the powertrain malfunction (wrench) warning indicator. If the 4WD control module detects a failure with the 4WD drive system, the 4WD control module sends a message to the instrument cluster over the CAN to illuminate the powertrain malfunction (wrench) warning indicator. On 4.6L engines, if the transmission control module (TCM) detects a failure with the transmission, the TCM sends a message to the instrument cluster over the CAN to illuminate the powertrain malfunction (wrench) warning indicator.

This is NOT a Tyre pressure sensor warning!
Don't know why people post this when they haven't got the foggiest idea.
It is a fault associated with the drivetrain which includes from the injectors on the engine to the transmission and possibly just a sensor malfunction.
There are multiple errors possible with this fault.
Requires a diagnostic OBD2 port analysis of the ECU to clear the fault codes and further analysis.

Possible causes
- Faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
- Powertrain Control Module (PCM) harness is open or shorted
- Powertrain Control Module (PCM) cicuit poor electricl connection
- Low battery voltage

If you disassemble the instrument cluster to disable the light, an open circuit is created and the powertrain control module is put into a "limp in" or "service" mode. You maximum engine rpm is reduced. You maximum vehicle speed is reduced to 50 mph and several other systems are disabled (like stability control and traction control). You're better off just having it diagnosed and repaired properly.

It means that service is required.

Replace the EGR valve.

This means you need to get it scanned for codes to see whats wrong, I believe your looking at a faulty electronic throttle body in this case.
