    i am experiencing something similiar, it will start most of the time but then it doesnt idle right, and then it stalls. i just replaced the fuel filter an it didnt make a difference

You have a injector shorting out this is interfering with the fuel injector driver in the computer.the fuel filter is located under car by fuel tank.you will need to take your car to a shop to ohm out which injector is bad. hope this helps this is pretty common problem in gm 90 cars.

Have you checked your battery.. If it does not have at least 9 volts it can not run the computer , so it would start up but then die..

My chevy lumina began acting like the emergency brake was partially on when braking, then 2 days later i go to store and i slow to turn and it dies, then i get it started again turn into store and it dies...
Replace the fuel filter first, since it is the least costly and user friendly part to get to. My APV had disconnect fitting which you depressed tabs and released the filter from the line. Take the front (engine) side off first. If it is plugged the fuel will not drip on you as much! Good luck.
The pump is in the gas tank. You should hear a buzz when you have the key on as it builds up pressure. If not, it may be the fuel relay.

did you use carb cleaner or starter fluid. if you try starter fluid and it starts for a second and then dies you might have a fuel pressure issue. if not check for spark.

1994 chevy lumina van. It will start and idle but stalls when gas
Try replacing the throttle position sensor. I had the same problem in my truck. It would start and run for a bit but as soon as you let off of the pedal, it would die. Try it and see if it works.
