SOURCE: 2001 corolla insturment panel lights

I had the same problem in my 2001 Corolla. Removing the cluster was not a problem. Remove the two screws securing the 'bezel' around the cluster. You may need to use a small screwdriver then to gently pry the bezel out from the top and remove. Then remove three screws securing the instrument cluster and pull it out. Because newer cars have all electronic guages, there is no speedometer cable to make it difficult. Just pull it out, turn it over and twist the green bulb holders to get to the bulbs.

2003 pontiac vibe when i put the key in to start door bizzer will not come on also when i start my car insturment panel lights and guages will not come on

Check your fuses. Probably a 10 or 15 amp. Most newer cars have 2 fuse boxes....one under or on the side of dash (drivers side) and one under hood.

I have a 2002 hyundai Santa fe and when I turn headlights on the insturment panel don't light up so I can't see how fast I'm going..the cover to the fuses is missing so I don't know what fuse

The dash lights work with the park lights. If the park lights are operational, there is no fuse issue. Make sure the dashlight dimmer control switch is not turned to the low/off position

All the gauges in the insturment panel went dead and would this have an effec on the charging system? 1999 dodge caravan

No. I would be more worried that you are driving without guages, should a problem occur, you would have no warning of it

There is now bus signal to the Insturment cluster I have seen this before. Unplug the Insturment cluster and plug it back in this will reset the computer it should communicate with the Can C bus and should come out of gear. Keep in mind if this works it is only a temporary fix. Hope this helps please rate if it does.

Guages and insturment panel stopped working on a 1998 plymouth

In the event that you have not completely fixed this problem, I suggest the following: Do a google search for "98 voyager instrument cluster solder" and you will find an abundance of posts regarding the soldered joints on the main terminal connector on the back of your instrument cluster. If the behaviour is at all erratic and unpredictable, or hitting the dash makes the gauges come back to life, then you are about 99.9% sure it is the solder problem. It takes about 8 minutes to remove the instrument cluster (okay maybe 15), and about 2 minutes to remove the circuit board. By examining the solder joints of the main connector with a magnifying glass, you will probably see cracked or corroded solder on them. Briefly reheat each solder joint with a soldering iron to re-flow the solder. Your erratic gauge behaviour should now be history.
