4wd grinding

It could be your differential nut on the input shaft of the front drive has backed off and causing the noise you hear when in 4x4 mode.

1994 Honda Prelude si starting problems

Your starter motor is either not getting power or in need of replacement. Otherwise, there is nothing wrong with your car.

Also check your battery connections for no corrosion there as well as by the starter motor. Low voltage circuits in a car are extremely vulnerable to poor contact issues.

I just bought a 93 prelude with the 2.3l vtec the guy said that the engine was just rebuilt it has the dohc engine the valves are clicking he told me to run the car so the valves will seat??? then he...

not really. The engine uses hydraulic lash adjusters, so there is nothing for him to adjust. If the engine has been run at all, the valves should be seated. If not, maybe the guides were over-knurled. Can't really tell why they are clicking. Can he provide specifics of what was done to the engine? Does it have new lash adjusters? Were the guides knurled or what was done with the guides? What was done to the valves? Are the springs new? Are the camshafts new? etc. etc.

1985 Honda Prelude replaced alternator and regulator trouble shooting wires, battery light still comes on

I had an 84 Prelude with a similar problem. I will assume that the car runs just fine as though there is nothing wrong but has the light on. When this happened to me it was just a bad diode in the alternator. If the battery takes a load fine and shows good charge then take off the alternator, take it back to autozone or wherever you bought it and have them test it. I would bet there is a diode bad and they will give you a replacement. Good luck!

WHEN I TURN THE IGNITION I CAN HEAR A CLICK SOUND BUT NOTHING ELSE AS IF ITS TRYING TO SEND POWER TO THE SPARK PLUGS OR WTHVER EVERY THING WORKS JUST WONT ATTEMPT TO TURN OVER

if it clicks when you try to start it might be the battery.
Turn on the lights and try to start.. and see if they dim out,
if so replace or charge the battery KC

Usually the indication is around corners the CV joint will make a popping sound. You can also tear the boot on the CV joint, but my theory is just to drive it until it makes noise. No sense in changing it when there is still life in the old one.
Really the only thing that goes wrong is the CV joint portion of the shaft wears out, except accidents and other unforeseen instances.
You can buy lifetime warranty axle shafts from Auto Zone or Advance and those kinds of parts stores.

1989 Honda prelude makes a clicking noise when turning

Sounds like it an outer cv joint on that side. They start making a ticking noise under load and it gets worse as time goes on. Have a shop look it.You'll need a pretty well stocked tool box if you want to do it yourself.
