Engine cover removal on s-max

WELL MOST BOBCATS NOW HAVE ELECTRIC FUEL PUMPS NOW , SO REPRIMEING FILTER IS EASY YOU JUST KEEP CYCLING KEY (NOT TO START) WHEN FILTER IS PRIMED (NOTED IN PITCH CHANGE OF FUEL PUMP SOUND) THEN YOU CAN LOOSEN ONE INJECTOR SUPPLY PIPE (NOT REMOVE) TILL A HINT OF FUEL DRIPS OUT OF IT , CRANK ENGINE TILL IT TRYS TO START , THEN STOP AND TIGHTEN THE INJECTOR PIPE , THEN START NORMALLY ALLOW TO RUN FOR A FEW MINUTES BEFORE RESTORING TO SEVERVACE EVERYTHING
CAUTION : AS WITH ANY DIESEL THEY USE VERY HIGH PRESSURE PUMPS TO INJECT FUEL INTO ENGINE ALLWAYS KEEP EXPOSED SKIN AWAY AND SHIELD FACE/EYES WHEN WORKING ON THIS FUEL CAN AN WILL ENTER YOUR SKIN AND CAUSE YOU FATAL PROBLEMS !!!! SEEK MEDICAL HELP RIGHT AWAY IF FUEL ENTERS YOUR BODY !!!

If you ran it out of fuel, You may have to prime your sytem first. There could be a hand pump located near your fuel pump. There are also several prescreen filters throughout the fuel sytem. They are located at some of the banjo fittings. They have to be clean to allow fuel through. If you have access to the fuel filter, make sure that is full of fuel and clean. You may have a bleed valve for removing air from the system. Or removing a fuel line located at the highest point and cranking engine until fuel comes out, then reattaching it Just some ideas where to start.

some time you can do it by leaving the ignition on and there is a pressure vale on the engine fuel line. take the plastic cap off and push the pin down the pump should do the rest. pump only active for 30 seconds. don't start engine for at least an hour as when the fuel comes out it goes every were and make sure you don't get cover in it. if this is a recurring problem with running out of fuel fit a primer hand pump to the fuel line.

tell type year of vechicle.some diesel engine primed at fuel filter.using small hand pump primer or using hand vacuum pump connect to fuel return line in which it will pull fuel from tank to the diesel injection pump.

Have you checked the fuel pressure on it? Fuse? Pressure to the engine?

Hello and welcome. you will have to perform the bleed procedure using the fuel prime on the fuel filter housing. there is a pump on top of the fuel filter assembly, on the passenger side of engine.

Open the vent valve screw (1) by turning the screw counterclockwise several full turns.




Operate the priming pump (1) by repeatedly pumping until a small amount of fuel seeps from the vent valve. Allow the pump to fully return upward between pumps. When fuel is present, the filter is full of fuel and the system is primed.
Close the vent valve screw.

Hello there:
If you have tried priming the fuel pump by turning on the key and listening for the fuel pump to be running if it is it may just need to be primed with a hand priming pump untill you get fuel
but if you still dont get any fuel i would check out the fuel filter to see if it is clogged and needs to be replaced
to locate the fuel pump and filter go under the drivers side and look at the frame of the vehical not quite half way back and you will see the fuel filter and just in front of this about 10 inches towards the engine will be the fuel pump ok>

a diesel engine can only cutout when overheating, loss of diesel fuel and air leak in the fuel system. if you know how to bleed or ask somebody to bleed right after it stall, then start the car, if it starts immediately then it is sucking air.

first remove the timing cover afer remove also remove the crankshaft pully.
now you can see timing belt clearly next remove the valve cover to see valves.
Rotate the engine by hand you can see where you remove the engine bully key grove that key should be top side while you rotating the engine there is mark like -- on the cover behand where you remove the pully so that mark and the crank shark key should in lined.
after that look the injection pump pully you can see front side mark --- look the engine direct behand the bully you can see mark that two mark should be in line have look the engine valves first cylinder should be close and the 4cylinser exhaust valve open.
