How to reset service theft system that wont let vehicle start
It starts an runs but dash shows crazy high numbers in the speed say if I'm going 40mph it reads that I'm going 150mph an my gas say im out
Generally speaking, if the security light is on and the engine will not crank, the VATS system is not reading the chip in the key.
Either the chip has failed, or the sensor in the lock cylinder, or the VATS module.
You could try a spare key but most times you have to have a shop make the repairs.

have you disconnected the battery lately, or lost charge? If so, dealer may need to reset the car.

Disconnect the batttery for 10 minutes, connect the battery and attempt to start, it will not start: do not turn the key off but leave in the on position, let the computer reprogram itself, the antitheft light will flash for 10 - 15 minutes, when it goes out; start you car, you are finished

Try cleaning your key off... those keys have security chips and if you get the oily or dirt on them your car wont start. Or try using a spare key if you have one... Good Luck!
