Heater blowing out cold air

My heat is blowing out cold air. We changed the blower motor resistor and fan is now working but still blowing out cold air. The temperature gauge is in the middle. What else could be wrong?

Several things.
If the heater hoses are hot, the problem could be a blend door under the dash. The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and out the vents.

where might I look for this blend door?

SOURCE: i have a 2000 dodge caravan, no heat

Sounds like the air "blend" door might be inoperable. This door opens and closes a specified amount to regulate the amount of either cooled or heated air, as requested by the climate control unit. If the door is continually in the position which is bypassing the heater core (cold setting), the air will not get warm regardless of the condition/operation of the heater core. I'd suggest having this component checked.

SOURCE: The heater is blowing cold but the engine temperature reads high

Hi
I would first check to see if both heater hoses are hot to the heater.
if 1 is hot and 1 is cold the heater control valve is closed or the heater core is plugged.

I have a 2005Chrysler minivan front heat does not blow back heat blows cold cold air front doesn't blow at all what could this be

If the front heater does not blow any air suspect a defective fan motor or resistor. You can try turning the blower on and banging the underside of the passenger dash to see if it begins working again. If it does, suspect a bad fan motor. If blowing only cold air, the most common problem is a low coolant level

Fan speed wont change speeds on heat or cold cycles

Sounds like the Blower Motor Resistor. The range from 10 to 75 dollars depending on what kind of vehicle. Pretty easy to change.

HEATER NOT WORKING

So you're getting heat but no blower to circulate the heat, right? It's also possible the fuze is blown to the blower motor, the switch that adjusts the speed of the motor could be damaged, or its resistors that limit voltage, to control speed could be "open" (burned up). I would check many of those before replacing the fan..

The heat is controlled by a valve that allows water to circulate through the heater core. If the fan is blowing cold air, check the valve, or blow water back and forth through the heater core to clean it out.

My 2004Kia Spectra will not blow out heat or air

Sounds like the fan is not working. Does it blow air on any setting? If only on high, your resistor is faulty. If not, the motor, switch or fuse/relay may be at fault. Check these out first!!

My fan does not come on and blow however the rear does

This is common you will need to check the front blower resistor, this is located under the dash on the passenger side on heater box next to blower motor. the wiring plug also needs to be looked at. the plug on some of these heats up and starts to burn and in turn the connector needs replacing and the resistor also.
If the connector is good then replace the resistor and that will solve the blower problem. As far as the rear unit not blowing hot air , make sure the coolant is full and if the coolant if full then you will need to take a look at the rear unit blend door. this is the door that opens and closes to control hot or cold air, if the coolant if full in radiator then blend motor may be bad, testing will need to be done to see if its the door or the motor that controls the door. good day

For a month now my air control knob will only work on the highest setting. Just an hour ago my car quit blowing air all together and my air control know is VERY HARD to turn. I try turning the heat on to...

unplug the heater motor and put a hot wire to it to check the motor if it blows if the wire gets real hot you need to change the heater blower motor. You will probably need to change the heater fan motor resistor. follow the heater fan wire and it will go to the resistor

A/C and Heater will not blow air..

Blower motor resistor is most common ($20-$70) it controls the blower motor fan and speeds or fan relay fuse (usually under the hood) If it's not either then the blower itself is bad. You can pull the motor and apply 12volts to it to test, if it spins then the resistor.
