I have a 02 ford explorer were is the relay to the front windshild wipers and what does it look like

wiper relays are in under hood fuse box. Your owners manual should show exact location in fuse box. Sometimes the fuse box cover has labels to tell you which relay is which? If you don't have an owners manual, fleet.ford.com may have your owners manual, free to look at online.

Windshield wiper relay

this might be a connection/ currosing problem. Check the windshild wiper relay for loose wires and then take apart the connection. Clean them up and put back together. also check your fuses.

96 Ford Explorer driver side wiper stopped working and just flops around with no tension holding it in place. Is there only one motor? if so maybe the arm came loose. Passenger side works fine.

one motor, remove the arm & hope the rotating asy isn't worn smooth. if it is you will have to remove both wiper arms & the front cowl then replace all the worn parts & reassemble the vehicle
