I need to know where the plug wires go.from spark plug to distibuter cap on a 1986 4.1 coupe deville(cad.)

FIRING ORDERS NOTE: To avoid confusion, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement. If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it could have been removed previously and rewired. The resultant wiring would hold the correct firing order, but could change the relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. If the current wiring does not match, make notes in your book to reflect how your engine is wired. Fig. 1: GM (Cadillac) 250 (4.1L) V8 GM (Cadillac) 273 (4.5L) V8 Engine firing order: 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 Distributor rotation: counterclockwise 85872009.gif Fig. 2: GM (Oldsmobile) 307 (5.0L) V8 GM (Oldsmobile) 350 (5.7L) V8 w/EFI Engine firing order: 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 Distributor rotation: counterclockwise 85872009.gif Fig. 3: GM (Buick) 252 (4.1L) V6 Engine firing order: 1-6-5-4-3-2 Distributor rotation: clockwise 85872010.gif Fig. 4: GM (Cadillac) 368, 425, 472, 500 V8 Engine firing order: 1-5-6-3-4-2-7-8 Distributor rotation: clockwise 85872011.gif Fig. 5: GM (Cadillac) 429 V8 Engine firing order: 1-8-7-2-6-5-4-3 Distributor rotation: clockwise 85872012.gif prev.gif next.gif

Ned to now wat the firing order for dist cop shood be for a 1987 ford f100 pick-up truck 300sixcylender stick shift model#333

The F100 ended in 1983, so there is some confusion on your 1987 Ford F100. The F150 started in 1983 and was available in 1987, but not the F100. You have this listed under the 1981 Ford F100 category.
The 300 CID = 4.9L In-Line (Straight) 6-Cylinder.
In order to best answer your question I have included both the 1981 F100 4.9L and 1987 F150 4.9L below. The only difference is with the Distributor Cap Configuration and Connections.

For the 1981 F100 300cid=4.9L:
Firing order:
1-5-3-6-2-4
Cylinders:
(back)
...6
...5
...4
...3
...2
...1
(front)
Distributor:
...(back)
.........4..[.]-clip
2
...................1
6
................5
[.]....3

For the 1987 F150 300cid=4.9L:
Firing Order:
1-5-3-6-2-4
Cylinders:
(back)
..6
..5
..4
..3
..2
..1
(front)
Distributor:
.......(back)
.................4
.....2
[.]
.......................1
..6
.........................[.]-clip
....................5
.......3

I have a 1981 ford with a 302 the cap has the firing order listed as 15786342 the dist has no elecs in it the pick ups on the crank it wont run right wired like this then when i switched it to 15426378 it...

This is from compcams website:

Firing Order, Small Block & SVO
This is one of the most common questions asked by our Ford customers. The firing order for the early 221-302 engines and the early 5.0 engines is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8. This is the firing order for all prefix “31” cams and is the standard replacement cam for all early engines. The later 5.0 engine and all 351 engines are designed to use the 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 firing order. This is the firing order for all prefix “35” cams, and cams ordered for these engines should use this prefix. Other than the firing order, the cams are identical. By changing the spark plug wiring at the distributor these cams can be interchanged.

I hope that this helps.
