The only way my car will stay running is if i keep spraying ether in it/ i used 2 b able 2 tap the fuse box to get it started but that quit working. i also need a fuse box diagram for a 98 saturn sl2 wo power windows and power door locks

Try spraying some ether into the air intake, then try to start. If it starts then dies, it is running off the ether and you have a fuel delivery problem. If the vehicle still won't start after trying a couple of times with ether, you are most likely having an ignition related problem. Let us know what you find. Good luck.
the brain is not sending the proper fuel pressure codes to the fuel rail to evenly distribute the fuel to the intake and fuel rail. perform a fuel pressure test check on it ok? also run a diagnostic scan on it and see what codes come out.
Fuel pump, you have to have press in the rail to fire all injectors- she will run on ether but not good for her. Ck your pump and any related fuses,relays,wiring.
Fuel pump is bad or plugged fuel filter it seems. Crack the line from the filter leading towards the engine first. If gas starts squirting out fast, you have good pressue. If not the filter is plugged or a bad pump. How old is the fuel filter by chance? If original its plugged up by now
Check all your fuses. If there is no apparent problem, try running a direct wire from the pos (+) or red post on the battery to the positive post on your coil, then with this directly connected turn your key and see if it starts. If it does start you have a problem with the wiring from tour ignition to the fuse box or from fuse box to coil. If it still doesnt start you may need to check your spark plugs and then compression. If there is spark there but still wont run it could, and is more likely a fuel problem. Id suggest cleaning the carburettor, changing the fuel filter and blowing some air down the fuel line fron the engine end to the fuel tank, as there could be something blocking the end of the tube in the fuel tank. A good way to check if it is a fuel problem is spray a heap of ether spray/engine start into the carburettor then turn your key. If it starts then dies again, you only have a fuel problem. Working out which is the problem will make it easier to fix and save you a heap of money. Good luck and hope it helps. Let me know which way makes it start, with a wire to the coil, or with the enigine start into the carby and ill giude you further if you want.
In reply: if its not the maf there are 2 relays in the relay box i belive its underhood, 1 primes the fuelline to 32psi the second kicks in after it starts, and keeps it running and varies the psi. if the primer relay isnt kicking in then it wont start due to no fuel
