2002 Highlander headlight keeps blowing fuse

I have a 2002 Highlander with the passenger side headlight out. I installed a new bulb and then realized that the fuse was blown. I left the new bulb in and replaced the fuse. As soon as I turned my lights on the new fuse blew immediately. Put in another fuse and it did it again. I did put in the correct amp fuse and the correct bulb. Any suggestions?

That answer is very helpful but which fuse controls that headlight and which is the headlight relay? The owner's manual isn't very specific.
    Thank you!

Possible bad relay or bad ground. Try tapping the relay with helper watching to see if light flashes.

2003 altima headlight fuse keeps blowing on passenger side

The most likely cause would be a wire chaffed through and shorting out on the body. Pull the plug in off the light and start tracing it back looking for a bare spot. Tape it up with electrical tape and try to re-route it so this doesn't occur again. Hope this helps.

Hi, I have a 2002 Buick Rendezvous and the high beam light will not come on on the Passenger's side headlight. The low beam works great and the high and low beams work great on the driver's side. We have...

Make sure the high beam realay under the hood fuse box is working. You can swap the hi beam relay with the horn relay to test. The hi beam filiament in the bulb can be open too.

My 2002 Highlander passenger side brake lights are not working. I replaced the bulbs already. Could it be the socket that holds the bulb?

what about the courtesy lights fuse? or maybe your blinker switch? you might have a broken wire between the socket and the switch or the ground which would go to the chassis

Can i use h4 -130/80cp-60/55w halogen lights on my 2002 kia spectra

hi,

you can try to see if the kias headlight wiring and assmeblies will take it. it may blow a fuse. first leave the stock headlight on for ten minutes to see how hot the composite headlight assembly gets. replace one on the passenger side with the hotter bulb and observe how hot the wires and composite headlamp assembly is getting. it it gets to hot to handle then I wouldnt do it. if its okay then replace them both, feel the main headlight wires to make sure theyre not to hot either. leave them on with the replacements for another 10 minutes, the stock fuse would blow in that time. You may have to go up 5 amps on the headlight fuses but absolutely no more. have you seen the other type of headlights HID's?
you might want to try that option as well, and I think those are are designed to replace stock installations better. use your discretion and be careful. the last thing you want is headlights using their own candlepower! lol,

2002 Toyota highlander passenger brake light not working

RE: 2002 Toyota Highlander 2.4cyl. 4X4 Base Model

I am a Certified Technician and have basic knowledge with electronics in electrical wiring. I searched the web and discovered this is a common problem.

I fixed the problem and it was a simple procedure... The problem is with the reverse light socket at the side with no brake light. This socket functions as a hub to direct current to the brake bulbs.

Remove reverse light socket and re-seat bulb. Check for loose or broken prongs. Replace if necessary.

Swap the reverse socket with the other side.
