The fuel filter is in the fuel line near the engine and firewall.

need to replace the fuel filter on a 2003 ford expedition. Do not know the location of where it is at.

Here is the diagram for your Isuzu Trooper. Diagram

For the 6 cylinder 4.0 Liter EFI (electronic fuel injection) SOHC (single overhead cam) engine
(8th digit of VIN = "E"), and
the 8 cylinder 5.0Liter EFI engine (8th digit og VIN="P"):

1. relieve fuel system pressure
2. remove/disconnect:
NEG. battery cable
bolts holding fuel filter shield
fuel lines (3 of them) - labeled (1) in above diagram
fuel filter (labeled (2) in above diagram - from its support

Installation is the reverse of removal, but torque the fuel filter shield bolts to 15 ft-lb. (20 Nm).
And, if you're as careful as I am, apply anti-sieze to the bolt threads before they go in.

you dont need diagram, start under the car at fuel tank and follow the fuel line in the direction of the engine you will find the filter it is a silver bottle, if the fuel line enters the car before the engine bay then the filter is in the engine bay find where the line re-enters the engine bay and follow it. Fuel Filter Removal and Installation

1. Relieve the fuel pressure. For additional information, refer to Section 310-00 .

1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Section 100-02 .

1. Remove the fuel filter shield.
   1. Remove the nuts.
   1. Remove the shield.

1. Remove the fuel filter (9155).
   1. Disconnect the fuel lines. For additional information, refer to Section 310-00 .
   1. Remove the fuel filter from the fuel filter support
   

the fuel filter is under the vehicle under the driver side seating area. and the fuel pump is in the tank itself and must be dropped to replace if you would like a diagram try joining autozone.com for free and they have many free diagrams of your vehicle for service reference

module assy. in the fuel tank for both V6 and I-4 models with no recommended service interval.
