Condition/Concern:
Check Engine Light with a P0300 due to 2 - 4 cylinders misfiring on the same bank of the engine. DTCs P0171, P0172, P0174 or P0175 may also set for the misfiring bank.

Oxygen sensors are always numbered like this:
Bank 1 sensor 1
Bank 2 sensor 1
Bank 1 sensor 2
Bank 2 sensor 2
some manufacturers use a kind of shorthand that reads different, but means the same thing:
Sensor 1/1 or O2s 1/1
Sensor 2/1 or O2s 2/1
Sensor 1/2 or O2s 1/2
Sensor 2/2 or O2s 2/2
Bank 1 is always the side of the engine where cylinder number 1 is located and, of coarse, Bank 2 is the opposite side.
On a 4 cylinder engine, there is only 1 bank and it is always referred to as Bank 1.
Sensor 1 is always the upstream sensor (The one located BEFORE the catalytic converter)
Sensor 2 is always the downstream sensor (the one that is located AFTER the catalytic converter.
Most GM engines have #1 cylinder located on the left bank, (or Driver's Side) of the engine,
So, the answer to your question would be that you are looking for the sensor located before the catalytic converter on the right (or Passenger Side) of the truck.

The Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) is located at the lower front of the engine on the engine front cover, also called the timing cover. Through a use of magnetic pulsation, the CKP sensor provides the PCM (control module) with a crankshaft position signal. The PCM uses that signal to determine the spark sequence (firing order) for each cylinder. It also uses the signal to precisely control ignition timing and calculate engine speed, etc. Easy fix and clean the area out first with brake cleaner before working around that area and take care not to break the tab on the wire harness that connects to the crank sensor. This is usually an oxygen sensor, replace the O2 sensor located above the catalytic converter before replacing the evaporator purge canister.
