Only warm heat coming out of the dash vent

usually a faulty blend door under the dash

check your vent doors in your dash it appen to my f 150 and closeing them helped from pulling heat from the motor

In a car the heat and filter both go through the same filter. In homes there are normally separate filters for the air and heat.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Need to look under hood for a vacume line going to your fire wall. your vents are vacuum assisted and i have had this hose dry rot from the engine heat causing my vents not to work correctly. the hose is normaly about a half inch in diameter and is towards the middle of the enigine compartment.

Sounds like there is a crack in the vent that leads to the drivers side, and hot air from the engine is leaking through.

there should be a dial to control the center vents. i believe its in between the vents or just below it. it should have blue and red marks on it. move the dial towards the blue indicator and the air should now be cool. in cold weather, move this dial towards the red indicators for warm air. you can adjust temp at these vents by moving the dial between red & blue.

common problem, check under dash by the gas pedal if control arms are muving went selecting from ac to heat cuz this it is the control for the vents to go from ac to heat and to defrost.

Had the same problem. believe it or not i changed the gas cap and got heat all around. something about pressure.

wow...here it is spring and no one answered either of you? Is there a large volume of air when fan is on high? Where is it going? Or do you not hear anything from the fan? The 240 has an awesome heater. On high it would heat a small home! If no sound, your blower motor is dead assuming the fuse is good. If you hear the fan blowing, figure out where the air IS going. Note that the only way to turn the dash vents off is with the white Oreo dials. To defrost, only that button should be pressed in and dash vents off. Behind the dash switches there is a maze of short vacuum hoses. Often times, people monkey w/ these and reconnect them incorrectly. Haynes manual or Chilton's have proper diagrams. It could be that the vacuum hose coming from the manifold and entering the firewall is split on the under side and not visible, also.
