Toyota crown.. starting problem..

check for fuel leak at the pump. pull and fit new tips to the injectors. Have the injection timing checked by an accredited diesel shop ( same one that is replacing the injector tips)

Have your battery load tested--Carbon Pile Tester--Possible Burnt Strap In Battery

Joe there is a way to test the transmission control computer to see if any trouble codes are present> I will check my manuals and get back with on this by Friday 3/28

Have you checked the Heater Plugs. or the electrical supply to them? Difficult cold starting can often be caused by Heater Plug failure in most diesel engines

put some 2T oil in tank every other full tank ,seems to cure my diesels i have about 2/3 hundred ml will do it .

Often "humming" noises like what you are experiencing are caused by a failing bearing somewhere. Some usual suspects are wheel bearings, alternator bearings, and sometimes even your waterpump, but usually it starts leaking too. To start narrowing down what it is, have someone ride with you to see if the noise is coming from left side or right side, or engine area, then see if it happens when the car is not moving, or just when the drive wheels are pulling the car? This way , hopefully you can pin point the culprit!

The batteries on the diesel 'cruisers are strange in that under normal running the two are wired in parallel. When you turn the key to the "start" position, the battery relay wires them in series to provide 24 volts to the starter. Therefore, if either one of the batteries dies, you won't be able to start the truck as both batteries are required in order to provide 24 volts.

The wiring diagrams are available in Toyota publication RM315E. A search of the ih8mud forums should provide you with a download link.

i have a toyota hiace 2005 2.5 diesel.The car cant start, I take off the diesel pump and getted tested they say is ok.but they say my diesel pump solenoid is no good so they replace its for me too.The place i get the diesel pump tested they say is mind be the common rail problem.how can i tested the common rail.Can some one help please
