Well this could be in your timing. As cars get some miles on them the timing chain stretches therefore causing you car to lose alot of power. So you may want to have your timing set on this car. Also I had a taurus that had a bad torque converter, and it lost alot of power on hills and under loads, also when i gunned the gas pedal. so try the timing first. Hopefully you dont have a bad head gasket or a cracked head these symptoms you are describing are all signs of head gaskets or blown heads

it is the ignition key... they have sensors for the ani theft and there is a problem with that. dont take it to the shop take it to a key place and have them program it.
SOURCE: engine wont start no spark......ignition control
I had a car a couple of years back do this to me, it was the crankshaft sensor. It will not fire at all if it is bad. Luckily the part is really cheap.

I have owned several older GM products, and have found that (as with any older car) when it comes to ignition issues, isolating them is simpler.
You had mentioned your plugs not sparking, see if your coil has spark ( by removing the wire connected to it, placing it close to the coil itself and cranking it) if there is spark there the next move would be check the opposite end for spark-if good, check your distributor cap and rotor. Look for wear on the contact points inside and cracks in the plastic.
It is fairly easy to isolate mechanical issues with older cars, only wish I could find the fix for my issue with the check engine light on my older car. Good luck and let me/us know how this went.
